Hi, I’m Julia!
Eating used to be a battle for me, filled with shame and secrecy. I didn’t get the help I needed from the medical system, but I found unexpected healing through yoga. Yoga taught me to listen to and respect my body, helping me overcome disordered eating.
My journey led me to study nutrition at Bastyr University and delve into Ayurveda, intuitive eating, and Health At Every SizeⓇ. I learned that attitudes and beliefs about food are crucial, and my mindset shifted to fostering a healthy, intuitive relationship with food.
Now, I help others who struggle with food and body image, offering support and guidance for true healing. Let’s find freedom with food together.

Hi, I’m Emily!
As a dietitian, I make food approachable, less scary, and less confusing.
I discovered nutrition after healing from a severe illness caused by parasites and amoebas. The process was tough, and I knew there had to be a better way to navigate food challenges.
With so much contradictory food advice, I help you sort through it, personalize it, and trust your body’s wisdom.
Food should be one of life’s simple pleasures. I’ve worked with many women and teens to heal their relationship with food, and I support moms through pregnancy, childbirth, and early childhood.

I believe in adding to your life, not taking away. Growing up with diet culture, I realized I wasn’t broken. Food freedom means trusting your inner wisdom and enjoying flexibility, self-compassion, and body trust.
My nutrition studies taught me health is unique to everyone. I value your experience and will help you define your good health.
As a former soccer player turned outdoor enthusiast, I now find joy in movement. I embrace the HAESⓇ philosophy, advocating for respect for all bodies.

Am I a good fit for Food + Body Therapy?
We work best with people who are curious, motivated, and engaged. We welcome anyone who yearns for peace and freedom with food & body to explore Food + Body Therapy. This is a deep inner journey and being willing to build self-awareness is key. We will support & guide you every step of the way.
I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to feel at ease in my body or with food. Can you really help?
You have a right to be skeptical. Our approach is a paradigm shift from the traditional “thinner equals healthier” model. It takes time to trust this. Even though you may have spent years, maybe decades, in a tumultuous relationship with food and your body, healing is possible. Being an intuitive eater at peace with food and your body is your birthright. Every person has this capacity built into their DNA. Our work is to uncover it, dust it off, and get it working again.
Can you work with people from anywhere?
We are licensed to work as dietitians in Washington State. This means that we can provide Medical Nutrition Therapy AND Intuitive Eating and Body Image Coaching to clients in Washington state, and we can bill your insurance for these services. In all other locations, we provide Intuitive Eating and Body Image Coaching ONLY for self-pay.
How long will I be working with my Food + Body Therapist?
There is no one-size-fits all. We work with some folks for a few months, and others for a few years. The healing journey is organic and very individual.
What are your fees?
For Washington State Residents, we offer in network insurance billing for Regence, United, First Choice Health, and Kaiser PPO. We offer out of network billing for Premera and Aetna. If you do not have insurance, or live outside of Washington State, our fees are $250 for the initial session and $195 for follow up sessions.
